Elder Taylor has Returned!!!

Elder Jacob David Taylor Returned home from the Georgia Macon Mission on June 10th, 2010! Me and the kids flew home from Pittsburgh a couple of days before to be there for him to get home! (Something I probably will not do with both kids again by myself)
We were on our way to the airport to pick Jake up when my Mom got a phone call from him in Salt Lake letting us know that his flight was delayed by like 2 hours, so we went out to eat at Outback Steakhouse. It was the most nerve wrecking dinner I think that any of us had ever been to! All that any of us could do was look at the clock to make sure we wern't going to miss Jake!
We made it to the airport with plenty of time to spare and waited, and waited, and waited.....We had a TON of people there! Most of my Mom's and Dad's family was there and a lot of Jake's close friends were there! I think it was a little overwhelming for Jake.
Once Jake arrived we picked up his luggage went to the Stake President's office to have him released (bitter sweet) took him home for a few minutes and then headed up to the cabin for my Mom's family reunion! BUSY DAY! It was so good to see Jake and he looked so good...just added an extra 20 punds or so! :) We are so proud of him and his faithful mission that he served! He was the BEST missionary! We already miss his weekly e-mails that we received for the past 2 years! We love you Uncle Jake!
Waiting at the Airport for Uncle Jake to come home!
Cute picture of Mom, Dad and Chelsey patiently waiting for Jake to arrive! At this point we had received word that his plane was on the ground!
The Family waiting for Jake!
Elder Taylor coming down the Escalator with a terrified look on his face! haha
Mom got the first hug! She of course broke down!
So happy!
Jake and Dad
Kendon re-meeting Uncle Jake! I was a little worried how Kendon would react towards Jake and if he would remember him. My Mom kept a sticker countdown chart with a picture of Jake on it and Kendon helped her put the sticker on everyday and he always pointed to Jake's picture and knew who he was, so he was familiar with his pictures and we talked to him a lot about Uncle Jake, but I still wasn't sure how he would act when he actually saw him in person. Well he went right to him and gave him a hug! It was awesome!!!
Boston and Jake meeting for the first time. After a minute Jake said something like...you better take him I'm not released yet and I'm not supposed to hold children! haha He was such an obedient Missionary! I am so proud of him!
Saying Hi to Grandma and Grandpa Taylor
As you can see Jeremiah (one of Jake's former companion's from the mission) got the best greeting! We were all a little bumbed! He later explained that he felt so out of place and Jeremiah was the only thing that felt familiar to him, so we gave him a break!
Family picture! Boston would not take his eyes off of Jake! He was trying to get his Name tag
They were so happy to have their son home! You can see it on their faces! Jake on the other hand...he was not quite sure he wanted to be home yet...
Siblings and Nephews!
Jake with his best girl friends! He felt VERY awkward getting close to them! hahaha He came home to the 2 on the far right being Married!
WELCOME HOME!!! It is so good to have you home Jake! LOVE YOU!

He looks so much like your dad! Welcome home Jake!!

Whatever they grow up to be, they are still our children, and the one most important of all the things we can give them is unconditional love. Not a love that depends on anything at all except that they are our children.
